Unpredictable

This time of year brings unpredictable weather changes. I’ll prepare an outfit the night before, for class the next morning, according to the Weather Channels forecast for the following day. I find the next morning; the Weather Channel had forecasted the temperature over by eight degrees. This circumstance has arisen numerous times in the past few weeks; I’ve given up on planning an outfit a night ahead of time.

This brings me to how surprised I am by how universally different ones outfits can be this time of year. Surveying a classroom I’ll find many girls, like myself dressed for the mid-Fall weather with a pair of pants and a tee, or a dress and leggings. Most of them have paid attention to the daily weather. There will always be that one person still stuck in summer mode, complete with shorts, a tank top, and flip flops. Then there’s that one person who looks like they’re dressed for arctic weather complete with a scarf, sweater, pants, and boots already!

Pay attention to the daily weather forecasts. If you need to set aside an extra two minutes in the morning for this, do so. You don’t want to end up hiding a super cute new blouse you bought, because of the oversized sweatshirt or jacket you had to throw on while running out the door.
